This project explores the transformation of a historic building in the heart of Amsterdam into a dynamic workspace for an ecosystem of impact-driven entrepreneurs and organizations. Located in Magna Plaza, a 19th-century landmark originally designed as a post office, the proposal aimed to combine the building’s architectural heritage with a contemporary environment for collaboration, innovation, and community.
The concept treats the building as a curated spatial experience, where each area functions like a gallery within a museum. Historic elements, such as the central atrium, stained glass, and hidden niches, are integrated into a modern workplace designed to encourage interaction and inspiration. Flexible pavilion structures and modular spaces create an adaptable environment that supports co-working, private offices, events, and social spaces, allowing the workplace to evolve with changing needs.
My role in this project included research into the organization’s mission and spatial needs, contribution to concept development, communication with the client, and producing materials for the final pitch presentation.
